Dr Maria A. Padilla
DPsych, CPsychol, MSc, BCs, MBPS
I specialise in trauma and PTSD, relationships, personality disorders, depression, anxiety and cross-cultural issues
Are you feeling anxious, lost, stuck or overwhelmed? Failing in your attempts to assertively communicate or emotionally express? Sometimes, seeking professional support is the way to put things into perspective.
As a professional I am committed to trying to truly understand and connect with your experience. Aiming to “walk alongside” you, helping you to understand and shape the ways in which the many currents of life impacts your psychological wellbeing. Focusing on improving the relationship with your inner self and others, whilst increasing self-awareness, self-compassion/acceptance. Always, guiding you through your life’s challenges with the attention and care you deserve.
The theoretical framework that informs my practice is integrative (see about Therapy).
Currently, I am working in private practice with adults and couples (in English and Spanish) in North West and Central London (see Locations).
To continue promoting resilience and psychological wellbeing, I am interested in raising awareness and breaking the stigma associated with Mental Illness through the use of personal therapy via Digital Technologies. Consequently, and in view of the given circumstances, Skype, Zoom, or phone sessions are the most suitable methods to access psychological support for those in need.
